US Pipelining Completes Major Pipe Lining Restoration Project for Senior Living Facility
Connecticut HUD Seniors Highrise Receives Cured-In-Place-Pipe Restoration to More Than 3,000 Feet of Vertical Sanitary Sewer Stacks Philadelphia, PA – US Pipelining, LLC., a leader in non-invasive, “no-dig” infrastructure technologies, announced the completion of a major vertical high-rise project. The recent project at Executive Square, a resident facility for seniors, included the Cured-In-Place-Pipe lining (CIPP) of more than three thousand feet of vertical sanitary waste stacks servicing the thirteen-story high-rise. The project took twelve weeks to complete.
“We were contacted by Winn Companies who was interested in a top-down restoration of the buildings sanitary system”, states Jeremy Bowman, Managing General Partner for U.S. Pipelining, LLC. “The residents were experiencing issues with the 40-year-old system. As Executive Square is a Senior Living Facility, Winn Companies was looking for a non-intrusive method of restoration with little to no inconvenience to the residents. We recommended a structural CIPP lining system,” said Bowman.
Built in 1983, Executive Square is a twelve story, 240-unit senior low-income housing apartment subsidized by the federal government’s Housing and Urban Development Division (HUD).
“HUD has very stringent guidelines regarding displacement and inconvenience to tenants”, states David Thunell, Senior VP WinnCo. “We were given a very tight construction schedule to follow. Our construction plan included the top-down restoration of sanitary lines with no residents suffering a loss of utilities overnight. Working with US Pipelining we were able to complete the top-down CIPP restoration with little to no impact on residents.”
